Returning to this city as a former resident, this photograph is more than a familiar harbour view. Since 1997, Hong Kong has weathered waves of change and uncertainty, from the challenges of SARS to the global disruption of COVID-19. Through each period, the city has endured and evolved, much like the harbour that continues to carry vessels through changing tides. The skyline stands as a testament to that resilience—a reminder of a city that has repeatedly found ways to rise, rebuild, and continue its journey.
